Piedras is a project that explores the use of stones as a key element for joining different random objects. Often caught into improvised settings, stones become handy where heaviness is required. The project aims to reinterpret the circumstantial nature of these settings, by methodically recreating the incidental into different domestic objects.
Each table is composed by a wooden top and a metal structure, which come together as a table through the use of soap-stones as their support. The stones have been hand-carved to fit the structure, providing the necessary weight in order to make the object stand.
